Dental Mission 2007
	The Dental Mission team will be leaving October 2007.    This will be the first mission of this type sponsored by Evergreen Ministries.    Services will include dental (and brief medical) check-ups and documentation (read more about medical needs), emergency extractions, sealants, and training in good oral hygiene habits.  We hope to examine and treat 100 children during this trip.

The Dental Office
	Dr. J. Angell is a Dentist in the Vancouver, Wahington area.  She and her team will transform this classroom into a dental office.  A dental chair has been donated and will be available. All other supplies will be transported to the village with the team members.

Like My Smile?
Many children's teeth in Habanero are filled with cavities. Sugar cane from a nearby field is a special treat for these children, but they pay a hefty price for it the rest of their lives without proper dental hygiene habits and interventive care.

Poor dental hygiene as children leads to devastating dental problems as adults along with occasional dental emergencies.

You Can Help

You don't need to be a dentist to help on this trip.  You can support this dental team by helping with documentation, filing, escorting children, hugging children and just showing them the love of Jesus. The cost of this 10-day trip will be $1,200 maximum which includes transportation,  lodging, meals and a translator.  There is no cost for lodging at our Mission House which includes bottled water and cooking facilities.   Evergreen Ministries' policy is that each team member, including Dr. Angell and  Evergreen Ministries staff, are responsible for their own expenses.  However, we currently have funding from our summer garage sale fundraisers that will cover the cost of two dental assistants.  Dr. Angell is hoping a third assistant will join the team.  A trip to the beach will also be included in this trip If you are interested in joining this team please email:  info@evergreen4kids.org or visit our Contact Us page.
