WELCOME TO EVERGREEN MINISTRIES FOCUS: Habanero,  The Dominican Republic Habanero - a small village in the south part of the island country of The Dominican Republic.  Located along a main highway, the villagers have watched for years as the world passed them by - mission groups, relief agencies - always bringing supplies and resources to the next village along the road.  Two speed bumps in the road near the village were the only reason a passerby would slow down for this often-ignored village. Evergreen Ministries discovered the wonderful people in this village in November 2006 as its founder grieved with a mother over the loss of her son to a preventible disease - dehydration.  Simple life necessities, just out of reach for so many in Habanero.  Today, the village of Habanero enjoys a sign that they are not forgotten anymore - a small school in the center of town, built and supported by Evergreen Ministries.  Their school is a symbol of hope - for the future of their children.

Praise the Lord    January 2008 Our team has just returned from their FIRST dental trip to Habanero.  To see pictures of some of the children we served, click here . . .   Prayer Needs    November 2007 Our little village has been flooded.  To see pictures of the devastating aftermath of Hurricane Noel click here . . .   and more Praises ! ! !     November 2007 Preparations for the Dental Mission trip in December have been completed.  The village children were issued photo ID cards to aid in providing dental care for as many children as possible in the most efficient manner.  To meet some of our children view our new slide show . . .   September 2007 Thanks to all who joined us for the wonderful tea party hosted by Marika.  Over $1,700 was raised at this event!!!!  Every day we are one day closer to the dental mission being a reality.   June and July 2007 Two garage sales were held these months.  Total receipts after all expenses were an incredible $2,212 - enough to cover the cost of sending two dental assistants to the Dominican Republic for our Dental Mission scheduled for December, 2007.  Thanks to everyone that volunteered their time and all those that brought items.  And an especially big thanks to our customers!    Upcoming Mission Trips to the Dominican Republic Learn more about the Dominican Republic Going to the store?  Find out some of the daily needs of our children in the Dominican Republic.
